DIRECT-TO-PRINT SERVICE
Dalmatian Lab now offers this economical Direct-To-Print Service that allows you complete control over your images without any intervention or interpretation from Dalmatian’s printers. We print your files onto Ilford Silver Gelatin RC paper at 400 ppi through true B&W chemistry, outputting prints with a lifespan of up to 70 years. Files may be submitted on portable media (CD/DVD/FlashDrive/etc) or uploaded via FTP. Complete this form for private FTP access.

FULL CONTROL
For the photographer who wants FULL CONTROL of their images, this print service is the perfect match. We will print your photographs exactly as you’ve prepared them. This is the classic WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) service. With experience, you may find that this economical solution is ideal for getting true black & white silver gelatin images from your digital files. Dalmatian experts do not view images before they are printed. No contrast or density adjustments are available.
Dalmatian has tested exhaustively using monitors calibrated with standard monitor calibration software & colorimeter (included with software). You may purchase off-the-shelf monitor calibration ware, but if you wish to “roll the dice” and send your favorite print(s) to test against your monitor, Dalmatian is happy to fulfill your request. Unfortunately, Dalmatian’s Black & White Silver Gelatin Digital RC product is not available as an icc profile, owing to the monochromatic nature of the medium. Contact your local computer retailer for information on monitor calibration.
PREPARING YOUR FILES
Your image may be edited as is consistent with your current workflow. However, Dalmatian requires that the final image delivered meets the following strict specifications:
RGB mode
8-bit TIFF or JPEG
Resolution at/near 400 ppi
File must be a single layer.
Sharpened to your preferences
Proper size ratio (ex. 5×7≠8×10)
Failure to comply with these conditions may produce unsatisfactory results.
IMPORTANT: When saving TIFFs, choose NONE under compression choices.
The ZIP compression here is NOT compatible with Direct-to-Print Service.

Dalmatian ships UPS Ground unless otherwise requested. The shipping price for an order is based on the largest print requested. Shipping prices are subject to change.
